Long time no update!

Ok so havnt been drifting too much in the last couple months. Have been getting a bit of work done to my fc however.

New PWR radiator is installed. Along with the twin plate clutch.

I installed the PWR radiator and it really didnt nothing at all to the car. It actually ran HOTTER than with the factory radiator. So i decided to make up a shroud that goes over the back of it to seal the radiator and make the thermo suck from the whole radiator and not just where PWR slapped the thermo on.

Runs pretty sweet now. Just have to make a little more shrouding to keep the temps down really low.

Took it out wednesday night and had a ball. Got bored with going back to first and decided i would just use more revs and use 2nd the whole track. It loved it although first gear is starting to die haha. Should still live on a little longer yet though. My tyres however died while still at around 70% as i didnt think to give them a break as i usually dont have to. Lesson learnt haha.

Thats about all there is to say for now. Will get some pics up soon of the new radiator for everyone to see and maybe a couple action shots.

Considering swapping the beema for a NA mx5 soft top. Have already found a few bits and peices for it. Or i have a buyer for the beema and have found a rb25 32 skyline i am REALLY liking currently just as a comp car and keep my fc for fun nights where i dont need to go fast and be competitive.

Should i swap my e30 for this onevia?

Ok so i have been asking anyone and everyone if they want to swap my e30 for something else just to see if i can get any interest. Finally got someone that said they would swap...but its for a candy pink silvia with a 180sx front end on it. Im not sure if this is too girly for me to be driving although i thought with the addition of a rollcage, coilovers, gold drift teks with decent offset and rubber marks up the side of the car it may just be manly enough until i can afford a respray. Anyone on with the pictures...

Im not too sure on if i should swap or not as i think me e30 would look pretty awesome with a cage, coils, locker and massive offset rims...but then the sil could also look pretty good and would be easier and cheaper to obtain parts and also be easy to skid i think...but then its also only ca18de...

It Runs!

Ok so the BMW finally runs and drives. Found a tailshaft that fits it. Pretty sure it was one of the last around as out of all the wreckers i found only one of them had one and it was the very last one...

Now im onto trying to fix the tacho and temperature guage. Last night i replaced the SI batteries in the instrument cluster which is what normally causes the tacho and temp guage not to work and it hasnt fixed anything so now im not sure what i should do? Have an aftermarket temp guage there ready to go in but i wanted to keep it looking factory for the moment but i guess i need to know the temp so will finish putting it in when i get a chance.

Also jacked it up and found its an open centre diff :( Will now have to look into either a locker or a LSD diff from somewhere however im not sure where i will find one so it may end up with a locker for the time being.

Been a bit preoccupied lately though with the rx7. Picked it up saturday and boy does it go hard. Used to take 40psi to get the wheels to spin hard and now it does it with ease and after checking the tyre pressures last night it was doing it with only 21psi in the rears! Lucky they didnt pop off the beads. So now i dare say when i take it back to 30ish psi it will drift nice and hopefully with the lower tyre pressure it will also create a lot more smoke.

Motor will be coming out of it though most likely next weekend although you will have to find out whats happening to it then...

JDM E30 project car

Hey guys
Got this E30 a little while ago now. Another car i couldnt have done without my awesome girlfreind taking the time to go get parts with me and help me picking up the car so i thank her endlessly as she is the definition of awesome! Its been sitting in my shed a while. I bought it with a blown auto box in it and have since started converting it to manual. Its almost all finished just needs the tailshaft and reverse lights hooked up and then a good wash haha.

Its a 1989 japanese import BMW 320i. Was imported in 2005 for memory and is in pretty much mint condition. Has 160k's on the clock, pretty much mint paintwork and 99% mint interior.

Just put a brand new excedy clutch in over the weekend with my cousins help. Couldnt have done the conversion without him haha. Also got a new sump as the old one had a nice big hole in it. Not much else to tell about it. Has 17inch Rays japanese mags that fill the guards pretty well. Has been lowered aswell i think.

The car is currently up for sale for $5000 all finished ready to go. May even come with a roadworthy at that price. However if enough people tell me to i may buy some nice 15" jap rims with massive offset, put in 2 bride seats, a hydro handbrake, rollcage and coilovers and make this into a drift car that i can drive to and from the track as im sick of towing the rx7 on the trailer.
Any opinions on what i should do with it guys?

Ok guys so here is my fc. Its currently in getting a new steam pipe manifold as my old stainless one decided to crack around the wastegate at the last comp i entered. Didnt even get past qualifying so i was pretty annoyed but it was awesome fun doing 4 car trains in the wet :P

So the list of mods off the top of my head so far include

88 Fc rx7:

Engine:
  • dowled

  • bridgeported

  • race apex seals

  • bigger secondary injectors

  • PWR Front Mount Intercooler

  • massive turbo

  • steam pipe manifold (when i pick it up)

  • microtech aftermarket ECU

  • Alloy air difuser between front bar and radiator top

Suspension and Drivetrain:

  • HSD adjustable coilovers all round

  • Extra lock spacers

  • DTSS eliminators (rear steer disablers)

  • Solid engine mounts

  • Solid Gearbox mounts

  • Solid Diff mounts

  • Steel front diff mount (getting fabricated when the new manifold gets put on)

  • Alloy cradle bushes (instead of normal rubber ones for less flex :P)

  • Cusco 2-way LSD (nice and clunky haha)

  • Standard brakes with awesome rear pads that lock pretty easy when i pull the handbrake

  • Short shift (currently has standard shifter fitted as i was trying it to see what i prefer)

  • Custom made 5-puk button clutch with custom pressure plate

  • Custom billet alloy flywheel (super light)
  • Cradle adjustments that im not sure what they do

  • Rear Camber bar

  • Zauber rims and a few other skid rims like 32 skyline wheels, cheap 15" things, territory rims

Interior:

  • Stripped from behind the front seats

  • Cusco 7 point roll cage (4 point fitted untill i can get some Bride seats for it :P)

  • Handbrake drift button (so my rachet doesnt keep the handbrake up haha)

  • $30 cash convertors stereo with $50 MTX 6x9s in boxes jammed behind the front seats

  • Boost and oil pressure guages (will replace with a full set of defi's one day....)

  • Turbo timer that doesnt work but works great as a voltage meter haha (have a Brand new Apexi one from Jland that i got given one night although havnt had a chance to fit it yet)

  • Odysey Dry Cell Battery in a alloy PWR battery box

  • Cheap steering wheel that i will one day replace with a nice Nardi Deep Corn or something similiar

Thats pretty much all that i can think of off the top of my head. Im sure there is more in there that i havnt found yet haha.

Some things i want to get done in the future include:

  • LS1 conversion (if the rotor dies this is soooo happening haha)
  • Nardi Wheel
  • New rims
  • New exhaust

  • Bride Seats

  • Full cage

In the next few weeks after i pick this up from the rear cradle mods and the new manifold this will hopefully be getting painted WRX blue and i shall be buying new rims for it. Looking at cheap Zenkai rims which i will get powdercoated fluro orange to go with the blue paint and then getting a heap of sponsor decals made up for the while side of the car once its painted as i should have a sponser then :P

Hey everyone. Just created this site here. This site will be dedicated to drifting. I will try to update this thread regularly with information on my cars and pictures of my cars as i attempt to drift them :P

A lot of the photos on this site will have been taken by my beautiful girlfreind who i cant thank enough for the awesome photos she takes. Im also so thankful that she puts up with me and my cars at times haha.

So this shall be my first blog and i shall leave it at that. Will put up another one in a second with information on my main drift car. And then another after on my project drift car/street car.
